We recently stayed at the Mountaineer Inn for a week-long road trip through New England and it was hands down our favorite! The cozy fireplace and seating area at the check-in made it feel like a B&B. The huge pool and amazing hot tub were perfect for relaxation. Our room had a warm ambiance and a lovely patio overlooking a peaceful stream. Being able to bring our dogs was a huge plus. The green space and fire pit were great for our 2-year-old and the pool and shallow river were fun for the kids. The individual decks on each room and breakfast outside added to the homey feel. a wonderful stay!
Recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect, close to the village and ski area. The facility was also close to everything we needed for a night out with friends. The scenic river in the backyard, along with the spacious glass-roomed hot tub and pool, made for very soothing amenities. We loved the fresh fruit salad for breakfast and the option to deny maid service during the week. The individual decks on each room were a nice touch, and we enjoyed having breakfast outside to start our day. The rustic feel of the inn added to the overall charm, and the staff was really nice and helpful whenever we needed something.
Felt very much at home, no complaints whatsoever.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities.- The continental breakfast was a nice touch, offering a variety of options to start the day.- The room was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay.- The common areas of the hotel were pleasant and inviting, perfect for relaxing and socializing with friends or family.
The temperature control in the room was inconsistent, leading to uncomfortable fluctuations between being too warm and too cold. The noise from nearby construction was disruptive, forcing us to go out and spend additional money on activities outside of the hotel.

My stay at this inn was definitely worth the money. The room was spacious and the view of the mountain and river from the back of the property was simply breathtaking. The location was perfect, close to the town and the mountains, yet quiet and peaceful. The staff at the inn were extremely helpful and even went out of their way to return a lost tablet device to me after I had left. The pool facilities were great and it was so relaxing to unwind in the jacuzzi. The large towels provided by the pool were a nice touch. I also loved the open grassy area leading to the river, where I could relax in the hammocks and chairs provided.
The breakfast offerings could have been better. It would have been nice to have more than just cereal and English muffins.
